Valcambi was founded in 1961 in Balerna, Switzerland, and is now one of the four LBMA Good Delivery refiners based in southern Switzerland (alongside PAMP, Metalor and Argor-Heraeus). Its production capacity is among the largest in the world.
Valcambi's signature retail product is the CombiBar — a single bar with 50 or 100 perforated 1g segments that can be snapped apart and used or sold individually. This format combines the lower premium of a larger bar with the divisibility of small pieces, useful for incremental selling or barter scenarios.
