Heraeus is a German precious-metals technology group founded by Wilhelm Carl Heraeus in 1851. Headquartered in Hanau, the company operates as one of Europe's largest gold, silver, platinum and palladium refiners.
Heraeus is LBMA Good Delivery accredited and produces minted and cast bars across all four metals. Its bars are widely available at UK dealers and are notable for being one of the few brands offering ¼oz and ½oz gold bars — rare fractional-ounce sizes outside the coin world.
