Bullion is conventionally priced per troy ounce, which is 31.1034768 grams — heavier than the avoirdupois ounce used for everyday weights. Jewellery and scrap gold are usually quoted per gram, so we show both. Coins such as the Britannia and Sovereign carry a small premium over the spot value.
